Joe Frazier Has Gone
World boxing again lost one of his legend, the main rival of the former “big mouth”, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier is. Frazier is also Former heavyweight boxing champion, died at the age of 67. Frazier died in Philadelphia, a month after being diagnosed with cancer.
As reported, Frazier is known as Smokin ‘Joe, died on 7 November 2011 local time. The news of his death is confirmed directly by Leslie Wolff, his personal trainer.
Frazier, who was born on January 12, 1944 in Beaufort, South Carolina, known as the biggest rival of Muhammad Ali. He, too, who gave to Ali’s defeat when they fight on March 8, 1971.
The fight, held at Madison Square Garden, New York, was known as “The Fight of the Century”. Ali himself was only able to avenge their defeat three years later in the same place.
She lost the weight class championship title in 1973 when it lost to another heavyweight legend that is George Foreman. And In the end, Frazier decided to retire in 1976.
Frazier, who has a professional record of 32-4-1 with 27 knockout victories, is also an Olympic gold medal winner in Tokyo in 1964. He never tried to return to the ring in 1981. However, her comeback is somewhat less successful. In the era of Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, the heavyweight boxing heyday experience with such a great rivalry between them.
Boxing – Toward the Fight Vitaly Klitschko vs. Thomas Adamek
In recent years, the competitive landscape in the heavyweight feel less attractive, because there are no new stars are able to become world boxing public appeal. The dominance of Klitschko brothers Wladimir and Vitaly feels so strong, it is attested by holding all the titles in the heavyweight world boxing organizations.
Public boxing world has been longing for the emergence of new stars are capable of providing an exciting spectacle and sensation in every pertandingann yes. The public will miss the re-emergence of competition in the era of interest such as Mike Tyson, Evander Holifyeld, Lennox Lewis, James Douglas, and others.
On 10 September 2011, boxer Thomas Adamek Poland will try to win the heavyweight championship belt in boxing world body from the hands of Vitaly Klitschko WBC. The match will be held at the stadium Miejski, Wroclaw, Poland. For Vitaly, this is a match to a 9 in defending his WBC heavyweight title.
See a map of the strength of both, it was still too strong for Vitaly Adamek. Although it has been 40 years old, Vitaly very experienced, has good boxing technique, and supported by the physical above the average world heavyweight boxer. With a height of 202 cm, 15 cm higher Vitaly on appeal Adamek.
Rely on speed
While Adamek is currently 34 years old, is a boxer who agile and quick, he only lost the physical appeal Klitschko. Adamek is a former WBC light heavyweight champion and IBF cruiserweight. Adamek optimistic enough to be able to beat Klitschko, “I think Klitshko not be fit enough to fight me”, surely I will rely on speed dan agile to beat Klitschko, so I have been the main capital “said the owner of record of 44-1-0 (28 KO) is.
Adamek was never beaten a boxer-fighter bigger than him, but none are as special as Klitschko. If adamek win, it was something extraordinary for him. It was spared from a knockout defeat alone is good for Adamek.
Seeing the competition in the heavyweight today, I think we will not see a new fighter that is able to beat Klitschko brothers, Wladimir and Vitaly. David Haye who championed able to provide resistance, was also helpless in the hands of Wladimir.
