The New Contract For Erik Spoelstra
Erik Spoelstra managed to bring the Miami Heat to the NBA finals last season. Although it failed to champion Miami Heat, Spoelstra still get credit for that achievement, by obtaining a new contract with the Miami Heat.
Spoelstra contract will expire after this season ends. Heat President Pat Riley announced agreement on a new contract with 41-year-old coach has been achieved but not specified in detail.
This season alone will be the fourth season of Miami Heat coach Spoelstra. But overall Spoelstra has been involved with the Heat since 1997 by becoming the assistant coach.
“He will never be a coach who will certainly go – even though (the media) has made ??it so ‘the man who was in his contract last year,” Riley said as quoted by the Miami Herald.
“So that’s not why we do it. The reason is we wanted to extend his contract and keep him in the family (the club) so that no one who came and stole him. This is in earnest.”
During her time as coach, Spoelstra managed to put myself down as a coach who is able to acquire the second most victories in the history of the Heat with a 148-98 record. Philippine mulatto man was also successfully led his team post-season record of 18-15.
“We have one of the greatest young coaches in the league and he remained in the family members and it has been for a long time,” continued Riley. “We want him to be a Hall of Famer, so it’s already taken care of.”
